Linux as a Desktop OS

  • Successful, lots of people who were engaged
  • Some people were there for the Defensive Cybersecurity unit requirements
  • About 10-12 non-regular members who attended
  • A few people stuck around after the talk

3D Printing Workshop

  • Initially planned for this week (Week 8)

    • Will instead run in Week 9 (week after study break)

  • We should use the silly shark guys on the poster!!!

    • Might do a smaller model because the whale shark is quite big

  • Throw in some fun stuff into the mystery boxes

    • The contents of the boxes should also be looked through before the event just in case

  • $5 entry fee

  • LAN games, party games, VR, The Chase & Jackbox will be run on the night

PCS x UCC Cyber Workshop CTF

  • [GPO] reached out to some wheel members to run a talk and a CTF afterwards
    • Seems most wheel members aren't available / wouldn't have something to talk about
  • We have been approached by Red Room Offensive from ECU and PCS before about running a series of cybersec talks immediately followed by a CTF related to the talks
  • Would be run on campus next week Wednesday (23rd April) in Reid Library
