President's Report

  • Congragulations to my fellow committee members on becoming committee members

  • With [NTU]'s help, I edited the basic agenda script to add some extra sections under the relavent titles. I would like for these new sections to be addedd every meeting, even if nothing of note about them has happened

  • Hello there
  • Things I did between the AGM and Today:
    • Get added to ICONs
    • Learned about how to update ACNC
    • Learned how to add people to UCC-Portal
    • Went to Project Night :)
  • Um so kinda funny according to our consitution our GMs need to be done in the lastest edition of RRoONR,
    • Its Edition 12, we have Edition 11, we should maybe get the new version

  • Looked through fresher guide
    • wanted to help out with the fresher guide on the website but [BRD] fucked it up

OCM Reports

  • - Hello I am past secretary and this is our first meeting so after today I will have done handover stuff with [KKZ] :P

    • Other than that set up when2meet for this sem
    • went to project night
    • added some commitee stuff to the 2023 website

    • enjoying my new irrelevancy

Servers

  • [I2N] updating motsugo on project night
  • [NTU] and [I2N] fixed up backups for motsugo and home directory
    • a new drive is required
  • new drives for molmol needed
  • one of lovedays drives is completely gone
  • a couple of drives are at 80% used up
  • get onto replacing those
    • [MPT] has made a list for us

Network

  • oddness with packet loss/pings
  • installing new RAM soon should help out

Desktops

  • sluggishness of linux...
  • christmas is tempermental
  • catfish is currently dead...

Misc.

  • Blacklight printer has a password that [BLU] and [I2N] can't find
    • All the windows computers now have access to blacklight. [BLU] updated them
  • could get a second hand coloured printer...

  • What's the situation?
  • Anything we need to do currently?
  • we have 30 ish IPs which are still firewalled
  • [GPO] will ask [MPT] about what we should do about the IT situation

Tenancy

  • Tenancy Chair Claudia has emailed Kelvin about potentially getting our floorboards resealed

    • Is under the impression that UCC would pay for all of it
    • The Tenancy budget is pretty tight so [BLU] doubts they'd be able to help
    • Kelvin has emailed back saying he'll get a quote

  • Instead of resealing our floorboards, we could get carpet squares like what Unigames has

    • Is most likely cheaper and it's not permanent in the clubroom
    • Could easily remove them if we wanted to
    • Would need to get carpet that roller chairs could roll over and is easy to clean

  • [GPO] thinks we should carpet tiles like unigames after we seal it

  • we'll decide what to do after we have the quote

  • [BLU] actions [BRZ] to research the carpet tiles and ask Unigames where they got it from

  • UWA vice chancelor should ask guild about why they shouldnt knock down cameron hall and guild hall. they would like a report.

  • Claudia said she would sent a form to Jackie who will send it to ICONS so each club can reply to this inquiry.

    • this is a good time to write down why we deserve our clubroom as club reallocations are happening in January.
